Preview: The cost of man’s rebellion against God is discussed.

Scripture Reading: Deuteronomy 31:15-30.

Memory Verse: I Samuel 15:23.

1. What happens when man rebels against God’s Commandments according to the foregoing Scriptures?
2. What were David’s instructions concerning rebellion? Psalm 78:1-8.
Note: It was his desire that Israel not make the same mistake that their fathers had made. This is true for the Church today.
3. Why is a rebellious spirit the same as a spirit of witchcraft? Isaiah 1:2-4 & I Samuel 15:23.
Note: Witchcraft is rebellion against truth. Any kind of rebellion that leads us from trust and obedience to God is a sin and is instigated by Satan.
4. Where did this spirit start? Revelation 12:7-10.
5. Where did it begin with man? Genesis 3:2-6.
6. What was Paul’s warning against rebellion and false worship? Romans 1:18-25.
7. Is this the same spirit that leads to homosexuality and lesbianism? Romans 1:26-28.
8. What attitude and conduct does rebellion produce? Romans 1:29-31.
9. What is said of those who are entertained by the products of rebellion? Romans 1:32.
Note: We are being fed a steady diet of these rebellious practices under the disguise of entertainment. God cast the Devil and his angels out of Heaven, He destroyed the world by water and is about to destroy it again by fire, all because of man’s rebellious nature.
10. How can we escape this destruction? Psalm 37:34, Hebrews 3:7-8, Hebrews 3:12, Hebrews 3:14, I Thessalonians 3:8 & I Thessalonians 3:13.
Note: There is no escape except through trusting and obeying the Lord.
