Preview: This is the second lesson in a three-lesson arc of the same title. As we study God’s Word, we are brought face to face with the fact that if mankind would accept the principle that God gave us to follow, there would be no carnal war. If man chooses to follow evil, war is inevitable. God’s people have chosen to follow the way of peace.

Scripture Reading: II Corinthians 11:20-33.

Memory Verse: I Timothy 1:18.

1. How are the weapons of our warfare described? II Corinthians 10:4.
2. What is the result? II Corinthians 10:5.
3. How powerful is our weapon? Hebrews 4:12.
Note: The futility of carnal warfare is the fact that it does not change people’s minds. The Word of God applied to the lives of the leaders of our country and the so-called Christian nations would accomplish more than all the armament that has been made, or can be made.
4. How did John prove he was a good soldier? Mark 6:17-18.
5. What happened to John because he stood for right? Mark 6:26-28.
6. How complete must our dedication be? Revelation 12:11 & Acts 21:13.
Note: One must be willing to sacrifice his life for the Kingdom of Heaven. To be pleasing in God’s sight, we must make a complete surrender to His will, regardless of what may happen to us- even if it costs us our life.
7. What should our attitude be toward our enemies? Luke 6:27.
8. What manifests God’s love and what should we do? I John 3:16.
9. How can we be victorious? I John 5:4.
10. Over what do we get victory? I John 2:16.
Note: To claim to belong to God while practicing the things that are of the world makes one a liar and all liars shall have their portion in the lake of fire. Let us live what we profess so we may see God’s face in peace.
